There are several myths about creatures that all claim they do different things. The most popular these days being "vampires sparkling"... Well, they don't do that in a Reverie. Here are a few specified traits for the most common species. Please note that you are not limited to this list! The species for Arcane creatures is unlimited just as long as they're not "the ultimate creature".

Vampires:

  • DO NOT SPARKLE. They just get irritated.
  • Can only be harmed by certain woods. For example: Mahogany.
  • DO have blood. A blood exchange is required to Change a human.
  • Born vampires age until whenever they want, but cannot start aging again.
  • Possess superhuman strength and speed.
  • MAY have special abilities. There is a 50% chance of this possibility.
  • Some have fangs, some don't. -shrug- you decide!
  • Species may be passed down through heredity.

Souls: **concept by Sycat.

  • are separated from the Human body when a Vampire overfeeds, breaking the chain of the body and mind.
  • can either become Fallens or Demons from this state.
  • turn to FALLENS by gathering enough energy. They then follow humans around, feeding on them, but also protect them from harm. Each Fallen has a power over an element: nature (Plants), fire, water, metal, air, and moon. If they have two elements they become an Arch-Angel.
  • If the Soul feeds on Nether energy and becomes a FALLEN DEMON. The Nether Realm is an intangible black wasteland where Fallen Demons roam, whispering to Vampires to make them separate more souls so they can be freed.

    Werewolves:

    • Can change form at any time.
    • Fur colour usually has a resemblance to original hair colour.
    • Age slowly on the outside if born as a werewolf. If the werewolf is changed, they stop aging.
    • Anger is one trigger towards a transformation.
    • Species obtained through heredity, bite, or scratch.

    Dragons:

    • May have a human form resembling their true self.

    Witches:

    • Are NOT ugly mean women with sharp pointy hats (though they are worn in occasion for amusement) but appear to be everyday people.
    • Can be male or female. Males are Wizards.
    • Special spells do not need to be recited but simply thought of.
    • Powers can be learned by Slayers, but only basic spells allowed and effects are temporary.

    Gifted:

    • May change species, since they are human after all. A possibility to lose their gift is possible when this occurs.
    • Psychics count as Gifted.
    Humans:
    have no special traits about them whatsoever. =)
